POKHARA, Jan 14: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that economic development would take a pace in the country only with the implementation of the new constitution.
Inaugurating the Sikles Maghesankranti Fair organized by Sikles Youth Club, Kaski, at Parche VDC on Saturday, NC President Deuba expressed the belief that it was necessary to hold election of three tiers by January 2018 for constitution implementation.
He said that it was necessary to amend the constitution to address the demands of disgruntled parties including Madhesi Morcha as well as to hold the elections while pointing out the need of support of all political parties to pass the constitution amendment bill tabled in the Legislature-Parliament.
NC president Deuba assured to provide maximum support from his side for the development of a tourism site, Sikles. Deuba also carried out inspection of Annapurna Conservation Area Office and Museum today itself.
Competition of different games including volleyball, basketball would be organized as well as cultural programs would be formed in the four-day fair. RSS
