Kathmandu, Nepal: Notwithstanding to the protest from the opposition parties including the main opposition CN UML, the government has on Sunday tabled the Constitution amendment bill in the parliament. 
 
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ajaya Shankar Nayak, tabled the bill on behalf of the government amid the protest from the opposition lawmakers.
 
The opposition lawmakers had let Minister Nayak to table some election-related bills. But they tried to obstruct from tabling the bill when Minister Nayak tried to table the constitution amendment bill.
 
The government had registered the bill at the Parliament Secretariat on November 29 amid the protest from the opposition lawmakers.
