Bhaktapur, Nepal: CPN UML mayoral and deputy mayoral candidates have been elected in the Suryabinayak Municipality of Bhaktapur district. 
 
CPN UML's mayoral candidate Basudev Thapa has been elected as the mayor. He has garnered 12,886 votes while his closest contender from Nepali Congress’s mayoral candidate Bishnu Raj Karki garnered just 10,165 votes. 
 
Similarly, Janu Basnet from the UML party, elected as the deputy mayor with 12,832 votes.  Her closest rival Kalpana Rajthala, from the Nepali Congress received 8,902 votes.
