CHITWAN: A one-horned rhino, which was injured after allegedly receiving bullets from a poacher, died in course of treatment on Thursday.
It was injured in Gaindatar of Rautahat district on August 21 and brought to Chitwan for treatment..
According to the Kasara-based Chitwan National Park Office, the rhino died in course of treatment this morning.
The bullet was removed from its body on August 28 and the animal was reportedly recuperating.
The CNP Assistant Officer Nurendra Aryal informed that two rhinos had fought in the area last night and suspected that the injured rhino might have been hurt in the fight.RSS
