Kathmandu, Nepal, November 16, 2021: Nepal and Qatar women’s cricket team are playing a three-match T20I series from today (Tuesday) at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, UAE.
The Nepal Women’s Cricket team had reached at Doha on Saturday. Rubina Chhetry has been taken the responsibility to lead the Nepalese side.
The 14-member Chhetri led squad includes Dali Bhatta, Sita Rana, Karuna Bhandari, Indu Verma, Sarita Magar, Jyoti Pandey, Saraswati Chaudhary, Kajal Shrestha, Sabnam Rai, Kabita Kunwar, Absari Begam, Kabita Joshi and Sangita Rai.
Likewise, replacement players are Saraswati GM, Roma Thapa, Asmina Karmacharya and Mamata Chaudhary.
After the completion of the bilateral series, Nepal team is scheduled to fly out on November 19 to UAE to play the ICC T20 Women’s World Cup Asia Qualifier. The match will see a total of six teams.
The ICC event will be played from November 22 to November 28 and a total of 15 matches will be played. Apart from Nepal and hosts UAE, the other teams taking part in the competition are Malaysia, Bhutan, Hong Kong and Kuwait.
