Kathmandu,Nepal : The government has appointed Inespector General of Police (IGP) of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force amid a differences between the major government allies CPN UML and the CPN Maoist Center.
An emergency cabinet meeting called on tuesday evening appointed DIG Sravendra Khanal as IGP of Nepal Police. Similarly Sailendra Khanal has been appointed as the IGP of the Armed Police Force.
The UML and the Maosist center had been differing over the issue of appointment of IGPs. A cabinet meeting held earlier on Tuesday was ended inconclusively due to the differences among the government allies.
