Kathmandu, Nepal: The Nepali Congress (NC), CPN Maoist Center and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) have agreed to table the constitution amendment bill at the parliament meeting scheduled for Sunday.
A tripartite meeting between the top leaders of the three major parties held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Thursday decided to table the bill.
The government allies- Nepali Congress and the CPN Maoist Center and he agitating UDMF made the decision to table the bill in the parliament concluding that the Supreme Court’s verdict has cleared path to take the bill forward into the House.
It is said that the UDMF is going to file a separate amendment proposal on the constitution amendment bill.
